The British Isles brings the world beautiful and evocative melodies and deep poetry that has richly shaped choral literature for generations. The singers of the Indianapolis Arts Chorale are delighted to juxtapose two song cycles: “Five English Folk Songs” composed by noted English composer Ralph Vaughan William and “Love’s Philosophy” by contemporary composer Stacy Garrop. These two larger works are accompanied by specially selected choral works that further highlight Celtic and Scottish traditions and their reach, including arrangements of Danny Boy and Loch Lomond.
We are thrilled to share the stage with singers from Greenwood Community High School under the direction of Mr. Daniel Watson, as the Indianapolis Arts Chorale explores such beloved repertoire. Join us!
